Meet Dr. Allie Penta
Dr. Allie Penta has been drawn to caring for and advocating for children since she was young, and she's excited and grateful for the opportunity to bring that passion to life as a pediatric dentist!
Dr. Penta strives to foster a warm, empowering environment in each visit with children and their families and is committed to optimizing her patients' oral and overall health.
Education
Dr. Penta grew up right around the corner in Belmont, MA, and earned her undergraduate degree from Hamilton College, where she majored in mathematics, minored in art, and competed in the NESCAC as a four-year member of the Women's Soccer Team.
She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, graduating summa cum laude in 2021.
Organization Work
As someone who is driven by giving back to her community, throughout her tenure at Tufts, Dr. Penta was heavily involved in mission-driven organizations both within dental school and beyond, namely leading and serving on the executive boards for the Tufts chapters of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA), American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), and Minds Matter Boston.
Pediatric Dentistry Specialization
Following dental school, Dr. Penta completed her post-graduate training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in Philadelphia, PA, where she received her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.
She is currently Board Certified with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).
Outside of the Office
Outside dentistry, Dr. Penta loves being active (especially outdoors), expanding her knowledge of holistic health and wellness, traveling, participating in nonprofit work, and nurturing her relationships with friends and family.
